The Mbarara Integrated Water Supply System strengthens urban water security, combining hydraulic precision, energy-efficient treatment technology, and robust civil infrastructure.

Strategically designed to serve expanding residential, commercial, and institutional demand, the system integrates raw water abstraction, high-rate clarification, rapid sand filtration, and automated chlorination. From intake structure to terminal distribution nodes, every component was engineered to ensure operational reliability, regulatory compliance, and long-term sustainability.

Design Philosophy

At the core of the Mbarara system lies a single objective — to guarantee sustainable access to safe water under increasing urban demand pressures.

HSC Technik approached the project with the principle that infrastructure must balance hydraulic efficiency, environmental stewardship, and lifecycle durability. Each pipeline alignment, pump specification, and treatment stage was selected through detailed feasibility studies, hydraulic modeling, and water quality analysis.

From corrosion-resistant transmission mains to SCADA-enabled monitoring systems, the project demonstrates how engineered water solutions can integrate technical performance with environmental responsibility.
