Household Empowerment

Banya On Household Empowerment in Koboko County

Household empowerment is at the heart of sustainable development in Koboko County. Over the next four years, I commit to introducing a housing support scheme that will provide 50 iron-sheet homes annually, reaching 200 families in total. These homes will offer shelter and dignity to vulnerable households, laying a strong foundation for improved wellbeing. As your Member of Parliament, I will work closely with government agencies, local leaders, and development partners to mobilize resources and ensure transparent implementation. Beyond housing, I will champion initiatives that encourage every household to have at least one senior four graduate equipped with practical skills, enabling families to secure better livelihoods and break cycles of poverty.

To further strengthen household resilience, I will promote the “one household, one project” approach—encouraging families to engage in small-scale enterprises or farming activities following the proven four-acre model. I will also support savings groups and cooperatives, helping them access investable capital to grow their businesses. Through parliamentary advocacy and community engagement, I will push for policies and funding that directly uplift households, ensuring no family in Koboko is left behind. Together, we can build stronger, more self-reliant communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
