Banya On Youth Empowerment in Koboko County

Youth empowerment is not a favor — it is a necessity for any society that wants to grow, thrive, and sustain peace. In Koboko, our young people are vibrant, ambitious, and full of potential, but they need opportunity. As your Member of Parliament, I will prioritize programs that equip the youth with practical skills, resources, and networks to become job creators, not just job seekers. This means lobbying for well-equipped vocational training centers, supporting youth groups with inputs for vegetable farming, and providing access to startup kits and market linkages. I will champion initiatives that promote talent through sports and arts by supporting annual district football leagues, cultural showcases, and youth competitions.

We will also invest in digital empowerment. I will push for the establishment of a fully equipped youth center with internet access and computers to help our young people engage in online learning, job searches, innovation, and data collection. Our vision is for every youth in Koboko — regardless of their background — to have the chance to contribute meaningfully to society and build a future they can be proud of. We cannot build a prosperous Koboko without putting the energy and ideas of young people at the center of development. Empowering our youth means securing our future. I will take this fight to Parliament, mobilize resources, and ensure that youth development is not just a policy point, but a lived reality.
