Banya On Urban Development in Koboko County

Urban development is a vital pathway to unlocking Koboko County’s economic potential and improving the everyday lives of our people. Towns like Keri, Oraba, and Busia are growing rapidly, but without proper planning, we risk chaotic expansion and missed opportunities. I commit to lobbying for comprehensive physical planning in these towns to guide infrastructure, zoning, and services, making them safe, accessible, and attractive for investment. Elevating Busia to Town Council status will bring the administrative recognition and government funding needed to boost trade and improve public services for our community.

As your Member of Parliament, I will be your voice in government, using my position to secure resources and influence policies that drive sustainable urban growth. I will work closely with government ministries, local leaders, and stakeholders to ensure the construction of modern markets with value addition facilities in Keri and Busia, creating jobs and improving incomes for farmers, traders, youth, and women. Urban development is not just about buildings and roads—it’s about creating opportunities and shaping a dignified future for every family in Koboko. Together, we can build towns that support economic growth and social well-being. I ask for your support to make this vision a reality.
